Tunçtaş’s Establishment and Development Journey
Tunçtaş was established in İzmir Pınarbaşı in 1977 to produce sodium silicate. As a result of activities carried out in line with the principles of quality production and reliable service, capacity was increased with its rapidly developing organization, and a transition to the production facility in Kemalpaşa Organized Industrial Zone was made in 1998. In this process, the machinery fleet was expanded, and solutions were produced for the changing needs of the market, adding Dextrin Glue to the product range in 1999.
In 2008, a new facility equipped with an experienced expert staff and modern machinery fleet was incorporated, starting Core Tube production, thereby further expanding the product scale and service area.
In 2014, the construction of a modern production facility built on an area of 20,000 m² was completed in order to meet domestic and international demands and implement an export-oriented new vision. As a result of the investments made, market leadership in the field of dextrin glue was achieved.
Thanks to the quality of the produced products and their recognition in the sector, a wide export network covering primarily the Turkish market, as well as Greece, the United Kingdom, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Indonesia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, North Africa, and Middle Eastern countries, was established.
Corporate Structure Developing with the Strength of Ege Kimya
The most strategic step in the development process of the company was taken in 2024, and all shares of Tunçtaş Cam San. ve Tic. A.Ş. were incorporated into
Ege Kimya San. ve Tic. A.Ş., one of the long-established companies of the Turkish chemical industry. Following this acquisition process, while the long-standing experience and quality standard in production were preserved, corporate power, operational capabilities, and financial infrastructure were significantly increased. With production experience approaching half a century and the corporate structure strengthened under the roof of Ege Kimya, it is determinedly continued to produce the products needed by the industry at the highest quality standards and to present them with confidence to business partners.
