Taking Voluntary Responsibility for the Future
We believe that the industry of the future must operate in full harmony with the environment. As part of our respect for nature and future generations, we closely monitor our environmental impact. At Tunçtaş, although we are not currently subject to any legal reporting obligation in this area, we have taken a proactive approach by measuring the water footprint of our production facilities in accordance with the international ISO 14046 standard and having the results independently verified.
Guided by the principle, “You cannot manage what you cannot measure,” we are committed to continuously improving our processes and using natural resources as efficiently as possible. By making these measurements part of our corporate culture before they become a legal requirement, we aim to take a responsible and forward-looking approach to sustainability.
Our Circular Economy and Zero Waste Vision
We operate in line with the principles of the circular economy, aiming to maximize raw material efficiency in industrial production while preserving natural resources. At Tunçtaş, we implement an integrated management system across our facilities that focuses on preventing waste at its source and prioritizing recovery and recycling in order to minimize our environmental impact. Our Zero Waste Certificate, which is both an official recognition of these efforts and a source of pride for us, is a clear reflection of our unwavering commitment to ensuring that waste is recovered and reintroduced into the economy without harming the environment. By placing environmental awareness and the protection of natural resources at the heart of our corporate culture, we remain committed to producing responsibly for a zero-waste future.
